Everton secured a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in a dramatic finish at Walton Hall Park on Sunday.

Nicoline Sorensen gave the Blues the lead after four minutes before the visitors equalised 18 minutes later.

Brian Sorensen's side continued to press for a winner which was eventually found by Aggie Beever-Jones who sent Evertonians in jubilation three minutes into injury time.

It was a brilliant start for Everton who struck first.

The ball was moved quickly along the right side as Izzy Christiansen slipped Sorensen in on the right who blasted the ball past Rebecca Spencer at the near post.

Despite the positive start, the visitors struck level on 22 minutes.

Beth England played the ball to Evelina Summanen who struck first time on the edge of the box. Her effort arriving in the bottom right corner past Courtney Brosnan.

The second half saw both sides press for a winner, but it was two substitutes that combined for the Toffees' deserved winner.

Elise Stenevik curved the ball brilliantly into the path of Beever-Jones who gathered possession on the edge of the box. The forward cut onto her right foot and delivered the ball perfectly into the far bottom corner sending Walton Hall Park wild.

The Blues head into the international break unbeaten in three outings which they will look to extend when they face Brighton & Hove Albion on Wednesday 19 April.
