Aurora Galli

The first-ever Italian player in the Barclays FA Women's Super League, Aurora Galli joined Everton in July 2021.

Nicknamed 'Yaya', the midfielder spent four years with Juventus before joining the Blues upon the expiry of her contract.

She joined the Club with an impressive trophy haul that includes four Serie A championships, three Supercoppa Italiana titles and a Coppa Italia triumph.

An all-round midfielder, Galli provides assurance at both ends of the field with her range of passing and technical ability seen her as a regular in Everton's line-up in her debut season in England.

Internationally, Galli has represented Italy at the 2017 UEFA Women's European Championships and the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.

The latter saw Galli score an incredible strike which was nominated as one of the goals of the tournament for her effort against Jamaica.

Galli was a regular member of Everton’s starting line-up in her maiden season.

While a versatile player, the Italian was placed in a holding position in midfield over the course of the 2021/22 campaign.

Galli wrote her name in the history books once more in March 2022 when her she became the first Italian to score in the WSL with a winning strike against Aston Villa.

The midfielder's performances continued to improve in her second season in England, appearing on 25 occasions and registered two assists.

Contracted until: June 2023 with an option for a further year
