Nicoline Sørensen

Everton signed decorated Denmark international Nicoline Sørensen from Brondby in July 2020, the forward penning a two-year deal with the Blues.

She quickly established herself in the Blues side and featured in all 22 of Everton's WSL matches in 2020/21.

Sørensen also played an important role as the Blues reached the 2020 FA Cup final, with one of her four goals during the season coming in the Toffees' semi-final win over Birmingham City.

After an impressive pre-season campaign when the Dane was on the scoresheet, Sørensen ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament during the 3-1 win over Birmingham City in September 2021 and was ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Beginning her rehabilitation in Denmark, Sørensen continues to recover at Finch Farm and is expected to return during the 2022/23 season.

Sørensen, who won two league championships in her homeland, represented finalists Denmark at the 2017 European Championship in Holland.

She started her senior career abroad with FC Rosengard in Sweden where Sørensen was a title winner in her first full season in 2014.

Sørensen moved to Brondby in 2015 and joined the club for a second time in 2018 after one year back in Sweden with Linkopings FC, where she claimed another league winner’s medal.
