Everton Disabled Supporters Association (EDSA) members were invited to Finch Farm last week to present Jordan Pickford with his EDSA Player of the Season award for 2022/23. 

Pickford, who also won the award in 2021/22, enjoyed a fine season in goal for the Blues, playing all-bar one of the Club’s Premier League matches and keeping eight clean sheets. 

EDSA chair Mark Dyer, committee member Sandra Williams and junior member Robyn, accompanied by her dad Gary, presented the goalkeeper with his award.

Pickford often captained the Blues in the absence of Seamus Coleman and made 124 Premier League saves, the third highest in England’s top flight.

Speaking about his EDSA award, Pickford said: “I'm really proud to have been commended by our disabled supporters’ association for a second season running.

“As a team we know just how much the Club means to Evertonians and we can feel that on the pitch week in week out, home and away.

“The team is the most important thing but of course, it’s always nice to be recognised for my individual performances. I’d like to thank everybody at EDSA for their continued support and look forward to kicking off the 2023/24 season.”

EDSA Chair Mark Dyer added: “Jordan continued to show his excellence last season, in terms of both his technical ability and his leadership skills. 

“It was a real pleasure to be able to present this award on behalf of all our members, who continue to work with the Club on a range of initiatives”

The Everton Disabled Supporters’ Association is a supporters’ group that works alongside the football club to improve the matchday experience for disabled supporters at Goodison Park and Walton Hall Park.
