Dyche On Danjuma's Qualities

Everton manager Sean Dyche has praised the qualities and versatility of Arnaut Danjuma after the Netherlands international became the Blues' second signing of the 2023 summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old forward, who can operate on the wing or as a central striker, completed a season-long loan switch to Goodison Park from Villarreal on Sunday.

Discussing the latest addition, Dyche revealed how Danjuma adds a valuable new dimension to Everton’s attack.

"Arnaut is a welcome addition to our squad who has proven experience in the Premier League, La Liga, Champions League and as a Dutch international," the Blues boss told evertonfc.com.

"His attacking versatility strengthens our forward options and we look forward to him showing his qualities for Everton in the season ahead."

Everton Director of Football, Kevin Thelwell, agreed and added: "We are clear admirers of Arnaut’s quality, which is why we have been so keen to bring him to Everton.

"He will be an excellent addition to Sean’s squad, with the ability to play across the front line and as a central striker, where he often played at Villarreal.

"We respected his decision not to join us in January. That is football. But we always maintained good relations with Arnaut and the important thing is that he is now an Everton player.

"We are delighted to be able to secure a player of his ability on loan and we have full confidence he will show Evertonians what a quality player he is."
