There are a host of transfer rumours in Thursday's print and online media outlets.

Starting with The Athletic, it is reported Burnley centre-back James Tarkowski is now "unlikely" to move to Aston Villa, with Everton now rumoured to be the most likely destination for the 29-year-old.

Tarkowski will be available on a free transfer when his contract at Turf Moof expires at the end of June.

Another report from The Athletic claims the Blues are considering a move for Manchester United youngster James Garner this summer.

Garner spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest, helping them gain promotion to the Premier League and has also been linked with Leicester City, Leeds United and Southampton.

Elsewhere, from the same source, it is believed CSKA Moscow are unlikely to sign Jean-Philippe Gbamin on a permanent deal following his loan spell in the Russian capital for the second half of last term.

The Liverpool Echo, meanwhile, discusses the role Ukraine star Vitalii Mykolenko could play in luring compatriot Oleksandr Zinchenko to Goodison Park.

Manchester City's utility man has been linked with a move recently - and the local read ponders how he could to slot into his preferred central midfield role with the Toffees.

In Italian outlet Tuttosport, Everton are reported to hold an interest in Shakhtar Donetsk winger Manor Solomon.

The 22-year-old versatile forward, who plays primarily off the left flank, started last campaign brightly, scoring four goals in eight starts before the Ukraine season ended abruptly due to the Russian invasion of the country.

And finally, in the Daily Mirror, it is said Manchester United have joined Newcastle United and Arsenal in the race to sign Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
