Keith Southern wants his side to "rise to the challenge" as they take on Manchester City in the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals tomorrow night.
The young Blues travel to Joie Stadium for the final-eight clash on Friday (7pm kick-off), looking to advance to a first semi-final since 2002.

It has been a dramatic route to the final eight for Keith Southern’s side, beginning with a 97th-minute victory away at Millwall in December in the third round.
The Blues were taken to penalties as they defeated a stubborn West Ham United side in the fourth round at Goodison Park before the Under-18s played a first-ever competitive fixture at Hill Dickinson Stadium, defeating Ipswich Town 4-2 after extra time.
The Citizens have defeated Fulham, Arsenal and Chelsea on their way to the quarter-final, while the Blues prepared for their trip to Manchester with a convincing 5-0 league win over Burnley last weekend.
Southern wants to take the positive feeling from that Burnley win into Friday night.
“It’s about taking the positives out of that into a really exciting week,” Southern told evertonfc.com. “The boys that played (at Burnley) have done their cause no harm.
“It’s really exciting and this is what we want, isn't it? It started back early December at Millwall at the Den and winning late on there.
“Then we had Goodison, the experience (of playing there) and (winning on) penalties and then obviously the incredible experience at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
“The boys and the Club have earned the right to be here. We've got a massive challenge ahead, one that I hope the players embrace and rise to and meet head on because I'm really excited and what we can produce on Friday night.”
One of the players who impressed at Burnley was midfielder Freddie Murdock, who notched the Toffees’ third with a stunning chip from 20 yards out.
That Burnley result has given the Blues confidence going into Friday night and Murdock says there is a good feeling among the Under-18s ahead of the quarter-finals.
“All the lads are buzzing in training,” said Murdock. “We can expect that it's going to be a tough game, but it’s a game that we can go into with a lot of confidence.
“I think there is a big belief in training, but we're not thinking too much about the occasion.
“The lads are just focused on trying to get that end result and hopefully we can come back with a win.”
