Everton Under-18s returned to winning ways with a convincing 4-0 victory over 10-man Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Two goals from Jonathan Nsangou, a first goal at Under-18s level for Will Apter and Kai Hutchison’s late debut strike secured a deserved three points in Premier League Under-18 (North).
Nsangou grabbed his third and fourth goals in just his third league game of the season, and the first was a memorable one – the young striker curling an unstoppable effort from 25 yards to the top-left corner in the 13th minute.
Just two minutes later and the Toffees had a man advantage as defender Aaron Aneke was shown the red card.
A low, driven effort from Nsangou in the 23rd minute after a neat turn doubled Everton’s advantage and Matt Taylor’s side looked comfortable from there.
Apter would pop up with a goal of his own though – turning the ball home after Joshua Kingham had saved his initial penalty, one that Apter himself had one – and there was just time for striker Hutchison, making his Under-18s debut after his move from Dundee United in the summer, to turn home a poacher’s effort for his first goal in royal blue.
The Under-18s return to action next Saturday 19 September (11am) with a home clash against Manchester City.
