US Youngsters Given Finch Farm And Stadium Experience As Part Of International Academy Initiative

The Everton International Academy has hosted a select group of young footballers from the USA as part of its Advanced Player Programme.

The initiative, open to players aged 12 to 19, provided a unique opportunity for the youngsters to experience the environment of a Premier League football club.

The recent visit brought together stand-out participants from the successful Everton Soccer Schools programme from summer 2025, offering an unforgettable opportunity to develop their skills while gaining valuable insight into elite-level football operations.

During their week-long stay, players took part in a comprehensive schedule of activities designed to mirror the professional football experience.

Highlights included an official tour of Hill Dickinson Stadium and the chance to attend a Premier League fixture at the stadium and experience the fevered atmosphere of top-flight football.

The group also trained at Finch Farm, where they engaged in a high-performance session reflecting the standards of the Club’s Academy system.

In addition to these headline experiences, participants took part in three further training sessions, focused on technical development, teamwork and game understanding, held at local venues including Marine FC, the Everton in the Community Hub and Jericho Lane.

A visit to Goodison Park added a historic dimension to the trip, with players enjoying a memorable pitchside photo opportunity at the Grand Old Lady.

The tour programme concluded with a closing ceremony held in the boardroom at the Royal Liver Building, with each player receiving commemorative gifts. Special recognition was awarded to two individuals, who were crowned ‘Trainer of the Week’ and ‘Most Valuable Player’ for their outstanding performances and commitment.

The visit reflects Everton International Academy’s ongoing commitment to developing young talent from around the world, offering experiences that extend beyond the pitch and inspire the next generation of footballers.

Everton’s Soccer Camps are back across the United States and Canada in summer 2026.

Hosted in conjunction with CAS, the camps will be available to 8-14-year-olds, with dedicated sessions for different ages and levels. Players of all abilities are welcome.
