The Everton International Academy Affiliate Programme (EIAAP) recently hosted partners IGB International School (IGBIS) to offer a unique window into the workings of a Premier League club.

The visit provided the Malaysian visitors with an invaluable experience in the world of professional football and elite player development, culminating in a memorable trip to see Everton host West Ham United at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

EIAAP, which fosters global collaboration through sport and education with a host of partner clubs, hosted Dr. Greg Brunton, Head of School at IGBIS, who toured key facilities that form the heart of Everton Football Club’s operations.

This included the world-class Finch Farm training ground, where there was a unique opportunity to gain a behind-the-scenes look at how a Premier League club operates on and off the pitch.

Dr. Brunton gained first hand insight into Everton’s approach to athlete development, training methodology, and the culture that underpins one of England’s most historic football clubs.

A highlight of the visit was observing Everton Women’s team training session, where Mr. Brunton met several players, including Maz Pacheco, Ruby Mace and Hayley Ladd. The encounter underscored Everton's commitment to excellence across both men’s and women’s football.

“This visit was more than just a tour - it was a learning journey,” said Dr. Greg Brunton.

“Seeing how Everton nurtures talent, builds character, and maintains such a high standard of professionalism has given us new ideas for inspiring excellence within our own school community. The visit was a powerful reminder of the values we share through the Affiliate Programme.

“I want to thank Stephanie Hughes, Everton’s Director of Marketing, for her warm hospitality during my visit. Touring the new Hill Dickinson, Goodison Park, Finch Farm, and Everton’s offices and meeting so many talented professionals on the team - was an inspiring experience.

“The connection between IGB International School and Everton Football Club has never been stronger. Our students and families are already buzzing with excitement about the opportunity to visit Everton in 2026.”

Stephanie Hughes, Director of Marketing at Everton, said: “It was a pleasure to welcome Greg to Everton. IGBIS is an incredibly forward-thinking school, and their vision for global football development is one that we are happy to support.”

Mark Thompson, International Technical Coaching Manager at Everton Football Club added: “It was fantastic to welcome Greg to Everton and share how we operate across our key sites.

“IGBIS have been a strong partner, and we’re excited to continue growing our relationship as part of the Affiliate Programme.”

The Everton International Academy Affiliate Programme connects clubs and schools from around the world, providing access to elite coaching, resources, and shared development opportunities. IGBIS’s continued involvement underscores its commitment to holistic education and global learning experiences that go far beyond the classroom.

Launched in 2020, Everton’s International Academy Affiliate Programme provides a unique opportunity for clubs of all sizes – from grassroots teams to elite academies – to connect with the Premier League club’s coaching expertise and development infrastructure.
