Young Toffees Take Point Away At Blackburn

Everton Under-18s earned a point away from home on Tuesday afternoon, extending their unbeaten run to three matches in a 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers.

Jake Doughty struck the travelling Toffees ahead on 42 minutes – a fifth league goal of the campaign for the in-form 16-year-old England youth international.

Keith Southern’s side, who beat Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle United in their previous two outings, led for the majority of the second half until a late Blackburn goal levelled the score.

Forward Oliver Flynn was the scorer – the 15-year-old’s first league goal of the campaign in just his second appearance.

The result sees Everton on 39 points and in fourth place in the Under-18 Premier League (North) table, just a point behind Newcastle in third.
