Under-18s Held By Blackburn

Everton Under-18s were held to a 1-1 draw by Blackburn Rovers in the U18 Premier League North at Finch Farm on Tuesday night.

Rovers, who were on the back foot for much of the game, opened the scoring through Harvey Pates' effort 10 minutes before half-time – but the young Blues responded positively after the interval and Melvin Matos levelled proceedings on 55 minutes.

Everton pushed for a winner in the closing stages and registered 23 shots to Blackburn's four on the night but the visitors held on for a point.

The Under-18s remain third in the table and welcome Liverpool in a Merseyside mini derby on Saturday to conclude their 2024/25 league campaign.
