Harrison Meets The Junior Fans’ Forum

Everton winger Jack Harrison surprised members of the Club’s Junior Fans’ Forum earlier this week, dropping in on their latest meeting at Finch Farm!

For what was their second meeting of the 2023/24 season, the Forum were at the training ground to discuss all things digital and social media with the Club’s Content team.

Harrison took time to introduce himself to the young Blues during their icebreaker session, before answering questions from the group, all of whom are aged between 11 and 17, posing for photographs and signing autographs.

Speaking after the event, Harrison told evertonfc.com: “I had a great time. It’s always nice to engage with our younger fans and you could feel their passion and knowledge for the Club when they were speaking.

“I know that they give up their free time to be involved with the Forum, too, and it seems like a great initiative to give them an insight into different areas of the Club and to have their say on issues that most affect them and others in their age group. I want to thank them for having me at their latest meeting and I wish them all the best for the rest of the season.”

During the main body of the meeting the children provided feedback on their digital behaviours and the Club’s output.

They were also asked questions about how they follow matches they are unable to attend and the types of content they like from other sports teams and accounts they follow.

They then received an overview of how to stay safe online and were taken on a guided tour of the training ground.

Junior Fans’ Forum member, Joe, said: “I really enjoyed my visit to Finch Farm - we got to discuss the content we like to see on Everton’s social media and gave advice on what we would like to see more of.

“It was also amazing to meet Jack Harrison and get a look around Finch Farm.”

The Junior Fans’ Forum was initially launched in 2013 and gives members the opportunity to learn more about the work of all Everton’s departments and act as a sounding board on Club initiatives.

Members serve a year-long term and the initiative is open to any Blue within the aforementioned age bracket, with an open application process being held every summer.

Updates on the work of the Junior Fans’ Forum are shared on the Club website throughout the season.
