In Numbers: Tarkowski's First Year At Everton

This week marks one year since Everton completed the signing of James Tarkowski on a free transfer.

The 30-year-old central defender joined the Blues after his contract expired at Burnley, having spent more than six outstanding years with the Turf Moor club.

In the time since, the defender has progressed into one of Everton's most consistent players and was an ever-present in the Premier League for the Blues last season.

Here, we take a numerical journey through a productive first 12 months at the Club...

3420 - Tarkowski was the only outfield player to play every minute in the Premier League last season.

7 – He became the seventh Everton player to achieve that feat in the Premier League, and just the fourth non-goalkeeper.

76 – No player blocked more shots on target than Tarkowski last season.

120 – While only Ben Mee managed to win more aerial duels than the Everton defender.

196 – He ranked second for successful defensive clearances, behind only Ethan Pinnock.

7 - Tarkowski blocked seven shots on target in the 2-2 draw with Chelsea in March, the most of any player in a game last season.

1322 – The defender completed more successful passes than any other Blues player last season.

18 – He also made more successful switched passes than any other Everton player in the competition, too.
