Everton are believed to be one of several clubs interested in signing Timothy Weah, according to L'Equipe.

Son of Ballon D'or winner, George Weah, the 22-year-old currently plays with French side Lille and is contracted until the summer of 2024.

The young forward scored in the United States' opening match against Wales and has attracted interest from the blue side of Merseyside, along with Brighton & Hove Albion, Fulham and Sevilla, who the French outlet claim are interested.

Another Ligue 1 forward could be on his way to Goodison Park.

French organisation Media Foot report that Everton are keen on signing Lorient striker Dango Ouattara this window.

Their source believes the Club are working behind-the-scenes on a deal for the 20-year-old that could reach a fee in the region of £8.8million.

However, they face competition from West Ham United who are also named in the report and are believed to be in contact with the French side.

Finally, Aston Villa have reportedly set their asking price for Everton-linked Danny Ings.

Speaking to Give Me Sport, football journalist Dean Jones cannot see the Englishman leaving in January for a fee of less than £20million.

“If he’s going to be sold, then you’re going to want to recoup a lot of that money, especially as Danny Ings, he has a level of experience and a goalscoring record in the Premier League that almost no one else in the market at the moment actually has," he told the outlet.

“So, Ings is actually a special case, and I think you’re looking at £20 million in my eyes if you’re actually looking to get Ings on a permanent deal.”
