Everton v Celtic Kick-Off Changed As Aussie Open Training Confirmed

Everton’s Sydney Super Cup fixture with Glasgow Celtic on Sunday 20 November is moving to an earlier kick-off time of 2.45pm AEDT (3.45am GMT) instead of the originally advertised 8.05pm AEDT.

Organisers believe the new time slot brings the match in line with traditional UK Sunday afternoon kick-offs which will enhance the atmosphere in the stadium and ensure more local fans get the chance to experience the match between two of the UK’s most historic and storied football clubs.

The family-friendly kick-off time will now also see junior footballers from across New South Wales have the opportunity to attend and be inspired by players from both clubs.

Everton Supporters’ Club Australia (ESCA) have been working alongside the Club’s Fan Engagement team to deliver a range of supporter-led events to celebrate the Blues’ visit to Sydney. More details on these events will be released on evertonfc.com later this afternoon.

To further connect with Evertonians, living in Australia or travelling down under from around the world, the Club will hold an open training session on Friday 18 November at 6.30pm AEDT. The FREE event at Accor Stadium will give Blues a chance to watch Frank Lampard and his coaching staff put the players through their paces some 48-hours prior to their clash with Scottish champions Celtic at the same venue. No tickets are required for the training event and fans of all ages are welcome.

Supporters with match tickets to Everton’s Sydney Super Cup fixtures with Celtic at Accor Stadium on Sunday 20 November and Western Sydney Wanderers at CommBank Stadium on Wednesday 23 November (7.45pm AEDT kick-off, 8.45am GMT) will be able to use their match tickets for free return train travel to and from the respective stadiums on matchday.

Tickets for both of Everton’s Sydney Super Cup matches are now on general sale. Evertonians wishing to attend the game against Celtic at Accor Stadium can purchase tickets in block 141, 142 and 143.
