Stuart Meets The Philadelphia Evertonians... And Philadelphia Eagles

On a busy first day in Philadelphia, Graham Stuart dropped in on the city's affiliated Everton supporters' group - hours after being a guest at the training centre of the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles.

Stuart, who will be part of the legends line-up at this weekend's Premier League Mornings Live fan festival, visited the unbeaten Eagles' NovaCare Centre, where he was shown around the team's indoor training facilities and met kickers Jake Elliott and Cameron Dicker.

Joined by Alan Shearer, Carlton Cole, Jason McAteer and Ben Foster, Stuart also tried his hand (foot!) at kicking after a tutorial from the Eagles duo, and held the famous Lombardi Trophy, won by Philadelphia in 2017.

Later in the day, the 1995 FA Cup winner headed to O'Neals Pub to join the Philly-based Blues at their usual meeting place. Stuart sat down with Christian Polanco, Evertonian, comedian, and co-host of The Cooligans podcast, to regale some of his favourite stories from his time as a player and discuss his optimism for the direction the Club is travelling in under manager Frank Lampard and his staff.

Stuart said: "It was a real privilege to be shown around the Eagles facility and to meet Jake and Cameron, especially with them getting ready for their own big game against the [Dallas] Cowboys on Sunday.

"Likewise, it was fantastic to be welcomed into the home pub of the Philadelphia Evertonians, meet all the guys who are up early in the mornings most weekends to get together and watch our games, and share some stories about the Blues.

"I'd like to thank the Eagles for their hospitality and Rich Ballezzi (chairperson) and everyone at the Philadelphia Evertonians for making me feel so welcome."

Stuart will be on stage with former Everton and USA goalkeeper Tim Howard on Saturday when he joins NBC's punditry team ahead of the Blues' game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (5.30pm BST/12.30 ET).

Thousands of US soccer fans are expected to pass through the fan park over the next two days, with nine Premier League fixtures to be shown on big screens and dozens of activities for attendees to enjoy.
