Rumours regarding the future of Everton forward Anthony Gordon continue to feature heavily in Tuesday's media.

The Daily Mirror claims Chelsea have lodged a second bid for the Academy graduate, while Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano believes the West London side remain interested in Gordon having seen an opening bid worth £40million rejected.

In the Daily Mail, the Blues are linked with Bristol City forward Antoine Semenyo.

The 22-year-old Ghana international is reportedly valued at around £15million, with Crystal Palace and Bournemouth also said to be in the hunt for his signature before the end of the transfer window.

Meanwhile, French outlet L’Equipe claims Everton are "getting closer" to reaching an agreement with Rennes for striker Serhou Guirassy.

The 6ft 2in forward was left out of the Ligue 1 side's matchday squad for their clash with Monaco over the weekend, despite being fit.

Finally, Sky Sports pundit and former Toffees striker Kevin Campbell has backed Conor Coady to become a fan-favourite at Goodison Park, saying the defender "adds spice" to Frank Lampard's side.

“Conor Coady is a scouser," said Campbell. "Yes, he supported Liverpool as a kid, but many of Liverpool's players have supported Everton as well.

“He actually adds a bit more spice into it.

"Conor Coady - his little boy is an Evertonian, some of his family are Everton. That’s what happens on Merseyside - families are split down the middle sometimes.

“As a player, as long as he puts it in like he normally does, I think the Evertonians are going to take to him because he’s a good player, a really good player, and an England international.

“I don’t see any problem with him joining the Club and becoming a favourite with the fans.”
