Ferguson Names Everton XI For Villa

Richarlison starts up front and Yerry Mina comes into the middle of defence to captain Everton, as Duncan Ferguson makes five changes for Saturday's Premier League meeting with Aston Villa.

Jonjoe Kenny and Mason Holgate are restored to Everton's back four and Andros Townsend begins a game for the first time since playing at former club Crystal Palace on 12 December.

Brazilian Richarlison, whose most recent start also came on that visit to Palace, is partnered up front by Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Mina, a substitute along with Richarlison at Norwich City last week, is paired with Holgate at centre-half. Kenny plays on the right of defence, with Ben Godfrey poised to fill the left-back berth.

Townsend and Demarai Gray are Everton's wide players and will operate either side of the engine-room duo of Abdoulaye Doucoure and Andre Gomes.

Jordan Pickford plays in goal.

Academy graduates Anthony Gordon, Tyler Onyango and Lewis Dobbin are all named among caretaker manager Ferguson's substitutes.

That trio are joined on the bench by Allan, Seamus Coleman, Jean-Philippe Gbamin, Michael Keane, Salomon Rondon and goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.
