David Moyes makes three changes as Michael Keane, Tim Iroegbunam and Harrison Armstrong are named in the starting XI for Everton’s clash with Manchester United on Monday evening (8pm GMT).
Jordan Pickford keeps his place in between the sticks, with a backline of Jarrad Branthwaite, Micheal Keane, James Tarkowski and James Garner shielding him – Garner operating at right-back in place of Jake O’Brien who is absent through suspension.
A duo of Gana and Iroegbunam sit deep in midfield – the latter starting from the off for the first time since a 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The Blues' flanks are occupied by Academy graduate Harrison Armstrong and Iliman Ndiaye. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is set to roam centrally, looking to provide for lone striker Thierno Barry, who has three goals to his name so far this calendar year.
Everton XI: Pickford, Branthwaite, Tarkowski (c), Keane, Garner, Gana, Iroegbunam, Armstrong, Ndiaye, Dewsbury-Hall, Barry.
Subs: King, Patterson, McNeil, Beto, Mykolenko, George, Dibling, Coleman, Röhl.
