Jordan Pickford earned his 76th England cap on Saturday evening in the Three Lions’ 1-0 victory over Andorra in a World Cup qualifier.

The Everton shot-stopper now ranks behind only Peter Shilton (125) in England appearances for a goalkeeper, with his most-recent outing seeing him overtake former No.1s Joe Hart and David Seaman in the all-time ranks.

Pickford played the full 90 minutes at the RCDE Stadium, helping England maintain their 100-per-cent record so far, taking all three points in their third contest of Group K in World Cup qualifying.

Goalless at the interval, the first period was a quiet one for Pickford’s England, who eventually took the lead through Harry Kane’s first-time finish from close range on 50 minutes.

An uneventful match for Pickford, he still managed to be tidy on the ball when called upon, recording 31 successful passes out of 36, as well as accurately playing six long balls.

Pickford could be up against Everton teammates Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gana Gueye when England face Senegal in their next fixture. Thomas Tuchel’s side take on the Lions of Teranga on Tuesday 10 June (7.45pm BST) at the City Ground.
