Ancelotti Names Everton Team To Tackle Fleetwood

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has made six changes from the team which beat West Bromwich Albion on Saturday for Wednesday’s Carabao Cup meeting with Fleetwood Town.

Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane, Lucas Digne, Richarlison and weekend hat-trick hero Dominic Calvert-Lewin are all retained for the game at the League One club’s Highbury Stadium.

Jonjoe Kenny comes in at right-back, with Niels Nkounkou making his second Everton start on the left of defence.

Englishman Keane, Everton’s only ever-present this term, partners Digne in the middle of defence, with Pickford in goal after Joao Virginia deputised for the regular number one against Salford City last week.

Fabian Delph starts for the first time since 23 February and is joined in midfield by Bernard and Gylfi Sigurdsson.

Alex Iwobi, playing from the start for the first time this season, is poised to operate on the right of an Everton front three.

Calvert-Lewin will spearhead Everton’s attack and there is a role on the left for Richarlison.

The forward trio of Theo Walcott, Anthony Gordon and Moise Kean are all named among Everton's substitutes.

Manager Ancelotti also has Abdoulaye Doucoure, Tom Davies, Seamus Coleman and goalkeeper Jonas Lossl on the bench.
