Everton forward Elise Hughes has completed a season-long loan move to Blackburn Rovers.

Hughes, 19, whose temporary stay at Bristol City last term was curtailed by injury, made her Everton debut aged 16 in February 2018 and scored her first goal in a Merseyside derby success in December of the same year.

The Wales international overcame the knee problem she sustained back in January to feature for Everton in pre-season and will continue her development with the Championship club.

Blackburn will aim to recover from an opening day defeat at Leicester when they host Charlton Athletic on Sunday.
