The Liverpool Echo carries quotes from a host of Everton players after they were interviewed in a documentary focusing on the career of Director of Football Marcel Brands.

Speaking on the Premier League World programme, which is continuing to air on Sky Sports Premier League this week, Yerry Mina described Brands as “a special person who has always believed in me”.

Moise Kean said the Dutchman was “the most important person” in his decision to move to Everton from Juventus.

Reports in Turkey, meanwhile, have detailed Everton and Tottenham Hotspur’s reported interest in Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir. The stopper is a product of Trabzonspor’s youth academy.

Meanwhile, Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport again links the Blues with moves for Napoli players Allan and Hirving Lozano. The duo played under Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti during his time at Napoli.

Back to the Echo and the local read features Everton Women goalkeeper Sandy MacIver, who has explained why the Toffees’ move to a new stadium at Walton Hall Park is key to the their ambitions.

Everton will play their first match at their new home on Sunday against Manchester United (12.30pm).

"I think having somewhere we can call home which is just where we're going to play is a big step forward, and hopefully we can attract a lot of fans," she said.
