What The Papers Say - 11 February

Dominic Calvert-Lewin is quoted in Tuesday’s edition of the Liverpool Echo, with the Everton striker revealing the guidance he has provided Moise Kean since the Italian arrived on Merseyside last summer.

"It's funny, really, because I think about Moise and I can liken my situation in the team from when I first came in to his, the expectation of an Everton centre-forward," Calvert-Lewin told the local read.

"He's still 19, so I try and put an arm around him when I can and just try and give him any advice I can whether that's on the pitch or off the pitch. The most important thing is to never stop believing in yourself.”

In his regular column for the Echo, former Everton left-back Michael Ball details how he believes Richarlison has progressed this season

“His build-up play is what he's improved on,” Ball writes.

“The goals he's scored this season when he's got a blue shirt on, they're all different types of goals. That shows you the quality he's got.”

In the Daily Mirror, meanwhile, Stan Collymore praises the impact made by Carlo Ancelotti since his appointment as Everton manager in December.

“He has settled in well, he clearly gets the Club and the city of Liverpool, and that is already bringing out the best in him,” says Collymore.

“He is proving already what a class man he is.”

Back to the Echo, and the paper reports on the news Everton Women will host their first game at their new Walton Hall Park ground against Manchester United on Sunday 23 February.

Stadium capacity for the game will be reduced and capped at 1,500 for the visit of Casey Stoney’s side, while the Blues complete work to increase capacity for future fixtures.
