Marco Silva features in Tuesday’s edition of the Liverpool Echo, with the Everton manager urging Brazilian forward Bernard to be “hungrier to score”.

Bernard was the Blues’ match-winner in Saturday’s 1-0 victory over Watford, and Silva believes the skilful winger has the attributes to be a regular on the scoresheet.

“Bernard is a player who, if he can see a teammate in a better position, will always try to assist,” said Silva in an interview given to evertontv.

“He was assertive and took the decision to shoot on Saturday – and it was really important. He has to be there to score in big moments and he was, which was fantastic.”

Seamus Coleman is also quoted in the local read. The Everton Club captain says the rocking atmosphere at Goodison Park has helped to inspire the Toffees’ impressive home form.

The Blues have won their past five Premier League matches at the Grand Old Lady.

"When the team and the fans are on song together this place is very difficult for any team to come to, and I think that's been proven by the results and clean sheets,” he said.

"The lads keep going until the very hand, getting back into position as quick as possible, jumping into tackles and really giving their all for the shirt.”

Former France forward Franck Ribery – who is a free agent after leaving Bayern Munich following the expiration of his contract - has been linked with a move to Everton but the Echo reports he is in talks with Serie A side Fiorentina.

Ribery spent 12 years with the Bundesliga giants, winning nine league titles, six German Cups and one Champions League.
