Mark Howard

Mark Howard joined Everton as Head of Men's Senior Team Performance having previously worked with Sean Dyche for almost a decade at Burnley.

At Turf Moor, Howard operated within the role of Head of Sports Science. In his field, he is one of the most experienced practitioners in the country, having gained a wealth of experience at several top-flight clubs throughout his career.

In 2001, he joined Bolton Wanderers and went on to spend more than six years as the club’s First Team Strength and Conditioning Coach. Between 2007 and 2008, Howard worked held similar roles at Newcastle United and Fulham, before joining Blackburn Rovers in July 2008 as Head of Sports Science.

Howard worked at Blackburn for more than four years before departing to join Dyche at Burnley in 2013 to operate again as Head of Sports Science.

He stayed on at Turf Moor after Dyche’s departure but subsequently left in September 2022. He joined Everton at the end of January 2023, reuniting with Dyche, as well as Assistant Manager Ian Woan and First-Team Coach Steve Stone.
