Everton make two changes for tonight’s 244th Merseyside derby as James Garner and Ben Godfrey return to the starting XI.
Garner was named among the substitutes for Sunday’s 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest, while Ben Godfrey last started in the 1-1 draw at Newcastle United earlier this month. They both come in for Andre Gomes and Ashley Young respectively, who drop to the bench.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin also maintains his place spearheading the Everton attack after overcoming the slight knock he sustained against Forest.
Behind him are a midfielder trio of Garner, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Idrissa Gana Gueye, who'll be flanked by Jack Harrison and Dwight McNeil - the latter set to make his 200th competitive career start.
Godfrey, James Tarkowski - captain for the evening - Jarrad Branthwaite and Vitalii Mykolenko complete the defence ahead of Jordan Pickford in goal.
