Everton Meets With North And South American Supporters’ Clubs

The growth of Everton’s US Supporters’ Club network and International Soccer Schools programme was on the agenda as Club representatives held their latest meeting with Blues based in North and South America this month.

The meeting of the Americas Supporters’ Club committee saw representatives receive a detailed update from Everton’s International team regarding the Soccer Schools programme, which visited 19 US states this summer and expanded into Canada for the first time.

The International team also invited the Supporters’ Clubs to provide feedback on how the Club and Committee can collaborate to support the continued growth of the Everton fanbase in their regions, while attendees shared their experiences of hosting successful fan get togethers for matches played early in the morning in their time zone.

As part of the meeting, Everton’s Fan Engagement team updated on Supporters’ Club affiliation for 2023, a process that led to fan groups in Oregon, Seattle and Long Island joining the Americas committee for the current season.

Supporters’ Club representatives, led by chair and Fan Advisory Board member Tony Sampson, discussed their upcoming trip to the UK, with the Fan Engagement team committing to work with travelling Blues to ensure they get the most from their upcoming visit to Goodison Park.

Everton’s four Supporters’ Club committees - the UK, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), the Americas and Asia-Pacific – meet with the Club quarterly, with the next Americas meeting set to take place in spring 2024.

Relaunched in its current guise in September 2022, the initiative brings Evertonians closer to the Club through regular, structured dialogue that focuses on issues specific to supporters in their territory.

Each Supporters’ Club is represented by an elected spokesperson, with key aims including supporting the planning of events and matchday activities, working with the Club to review affiliation processes and relaying any concerns raised by their members.
