Club Holds Latest EDSA Meeting

Everton’s Fan Engagement and Accessibility Teams have met with EDSA committee members ahead of the 2023/24 season as part of the Club’s continued engagement with fans.

Club staff meet with EDSA, a registered supporters’ group that represents the needs of all disabled Everton and visiting supporters, bi-monthly.

At the latest meeting, the Ticketing team were on hand to update the EDSA committee on the timeline for receiving their 2023/24 accessible Season Ticket Membership cards and discuss matchday parking processes. EDSA’s Twitter account, @EdsaEfc, will continue to provide updates for its members.

The group also discussed accessibility at our future home, touching on areas including car parking, toilet facilities, accessible seating locations and the matchday experience as a whole. Ideas and timelines around further consultation with disabled supporters on accessible areas of Everton Stadium were raised, and the Club provided assurance that this is in its plans.

In addition, the Club confirmed that it would work with EDSA to introduce a quiet hour at Everton One as part of the third kit launch. This will allow disabled supporters and those with additional needs to shop in a more comfortable environment, with full details to be confirmed in due course.

EDSA raised concerns regarding accessible away ticket allocations at various Premier League stadiums and will be in future dialogue with Level Playing Field regarding this, with the support of the Club’s Disability Access Officer will support.

Finally, both parties discussed EDSA’s involvement in the Premier League’s Fan Engagement Standard (FES).

The introduction of the FES, which will set out how the Club listens and communicates with supporters while also reaffirming its continued commitment to fan engagement and facilitating in-depth consultation, was unanimously agreed by all 20 top-flight clubs in November 2022.

The next meeting between Everton and EDSA will take place in September 2023.
