Amadou Onana has admitted he’s missed Goodison Park and is very much looking forward to playing there again when the Premier League returns on Boxing Day.

Speaking to the Liverpool ECHO, he said: "I missed it. The World Cup has been great, but I missed it.

“There is nothing else like Goodison. It is just different, I can't really explain it but it is different and I have missed the atmosphere.

“It has been amazing having their support. Even though we have had setbacks and tough moments they have not let us down and that is one of the big points for me, that massive support we have got is just unbelievable."

The Belgium international gave the interview after visiting families at Claire House's West Derby site with Asmir Begovic.

He and the Everton shot-stopper spent Monday morning chatting with families and children supported by the charity, which works to provide help, care and experiences for seriously and terminally-ill youngsters.

Elsewhere, the Telegraph is reporting that both Alex Iwobi and Anthony Gordon are set to sign new long-term deals at the club, with the latter’s new contract sure to end immediate speculation around his Goodison Park future.

FourFourTwo also reveals in one of their stories that Everton have joined the race along with Merseyside rivals Liverpool to sign exciting Birmingham prospect George Hall.

The 18-year-old midfielder has broken into the Blues’ first team this season and become a regular under boss John Eustace in the Championship.
