Friday’s edition of the Liverpool Echo reports on the news Everton defender Yerry Mina has returned to training at Finch Farm.

The Colombian, who has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since early February, was shown in footage released by the Club on Thursday stepping out to train with his Toffees teammates.

Speaking in the aftermath of the Blues’ 1-0 victory over Manchester United last Saturday, manager Frank Lampard said he was hopeful Mina could be available for selection when Everton host Leicester City on Wednesday 20 April.

The Echo also features quotes from Everton First-Team coach Paul Clement, who has discussed the squad’s training-ground efforts to improve their output in attacking and defending set-pieces.

Speaking in in-depth interview originally given to evertontv, Clement said: "I think it [set-pieces] can be a real strength of ours, recognising that we've got players who have good delivery. Unfortunately, Andros Townsend is now injured but we've got Anthony [Gordon], Demarai Gray, Donny [Van de Beek] – players who can all hit a good ball into dangerous areas.

"On the defensive side, I would say there was certainly some improvement early on. Particularly in the Newcastle home game, playing one of the best set play teams in the country, we defended 17 set plays – a lot of them coming in injury time. I thought we were immense in that game.

"That's the attitude and the kind of level we've got to take forward.”
