Excitement Building For Everton's US Visit

Representatives from Supporters’ Groups across the United States met with Everton’s Fan Engagement team recently to discuss preparations for the Club’s pre-season fixtures in Florida in July.

The diverse group, excited for Everton’s first US trip since 2013, have been engaging and consulting with the Club on possible events and activities that could take place in the Sunshine State around Everton’s two Florida Cup fixture dates.

The Blues will face Colombian giants Millonarios at Orlando's Camping World Stadium on Monday 26 July, before taking on either Arsenal or Italian champions Inter Milan at the same venue three days later (Thursday 29 July).

While in the States, Everton will deliver and support a number of tailored fan events, with supporters from across North America expected to travel to Florida to see the team's preparations for the Premier League kick off on Saturday 14 August.

Scott McLeod, Everton's Head of Engagement and Communications, said: "As a Club, we are really excited to be going back to the United States as part of an elite line-up for the Florida Cup. We are looking forward to what will undoubtedly be a warm welcome from our US-based supporters when we arrive in Orlando.

"Since our participation in the Florida Cup was announced in early June, we have been involved in conversations with representatives from across our US Supporters' Club network about events and engagements that can take place around the two fixture dates and the anticipation and enthusiasm for our visit has been obvious.

"As a Club and staff, we will have to work within strict COVID protocols while we are in the United States, but we are well on with our plans to deliver a memorable week within those limitations and will ensure that Evertonians in Orlando - and those following the tournament digitally around the world - get the best possible experience while we are there."

Tony Sampson, member of Chicago Toffees supporters' group and International Lead for the Everton Fans’ Forum, said: "As US-based Evertonians, we have all been looking forward to and longing for pre-season to bring the Club back to the States, and there is a real and genuine excitement to see the team in Orlando this month.

"Many Supporters' Club members have been fortunate enough to make the pilgrimage to Goodison Park but, for others, especially some of our youngest members, this will be their first opportunity to see the team play live in person, and that just adds to how special an occasion it will be.

"We want to see our end of the Camping World Stadium packed out in royal blue for both matchdays and it is fantastic to be in discussions with the Club about additional events and activities that can make this exciting tournament even more memorable."

More details about fan events taking place in Florida will be announced in due course.
