Everton’s Fan Advisory Board met with senior Club representatives earlier this month to discuss a wide range of issues including ownership, matchday experience, commercial growth, heritage and the future development of Hill Dickinson Stadium and Goodison Park.

The meeting marked the first formal meeting for a number of newly-appointed and elected FAB members, with Chief Executive Angus Kinnear and President of Business Operations Andrew Middleton among the senior Club representatives in attendance.

FAB Members and Club staff discussed the introduction of Everton’s new Consultation Framework, developed collaboratively between the Club and FAB to provide greater clarity around how, when and on what issues formal supporter consultation will take place.

The FAB also raised questions around ownership, long-term ambition and the future direction of the Club, with the meeting taking place prior to the update from The Friedkin Group regarding its exploration of options for further investment in the Club. The FAB stressed the importance of supporters having greater clarity on TFG’s plans, with Chief Executive Angus Kinnear acknowledging those views and confirming he would relay them directly to the ownership group. He also reiterated that it remains business as usual across Everton, with the Club focused on winning football matches and continuing to grow revenues to strengthen its ability to compete.

Other discussions included the ongoing development of the matchday experience at Hill Dickinson Stadium, including Season Ticket utilisation, Premium areas, supporter arrival times and the success of early-matchday food and drink initiatives.

The Club also provided updates on its wider commercial strategy, including new partnerships, the continued development of Everton Women-specific commercial opportunities and plans to grow the use of Hill Dickinson Stadium beyond Everton matchdays.

These include work around a summer concert programme, major sporting events, stadium tours and preparations for the Club’s 150th anniversary.

The FAB was also given an early briefing on Everton Mobile, the Club’s new SIM-only mobile service, which forms part of Everton’s work to develop new and sustainable commercial revenue streams while providing additional benefits for supporters.

A significant part of the meeting was also dedicated to Evertonisation, heritage and the future relationship between Hill Dickinson Stadium and Goodison Park.

The FAB presented proposals around further Evertonisation of Hill Dickinson Stadium, greater access to the Everton Collection and archive, and the long-term role of Goodison Park as the home of Everton Women and a wider heritage, community and educational campus.

The Club and FAB agreed to establish a working group to develop these proposals further.

The meeting concluded with a number of agreed actions, including continued review of the Consultation Framework, further discussion around matchday experience and commercial development, and ongoing work around heritage and Evertonisation.
