Three Changes For Everton At Nottingham Forest

Merlin Röhl makes his first Everton start while Nathan Patterson is also in the starting XI as two of three changes for the clash against Nottingham Forest at the City Ground (7.30pm GMT).

With Charly Alcaraz and Michael Keane unavailable, and Jack Grealish named on the bench, Röhl is set to play in midfield alongside fellow summer signing Tyler Dibling and Dwight McNeil.

Thierno Barry is preferred to Beto to lead the Toffees' attack, while Patterson is expected to start at right-back, with Jake O'Brien moving into central defence with captain James Tarkowski.

Everton's defensive midfield will once again be formed of Tim Iroegbunam and James Garner, and there is a place in the matchday squad for the first time for Under-21s striker Braiden Graham.

Everton XI: Pickford, Patterson, Tarkowski, O'Brien, Mykolenko, Iroegbunam, Dibling, Röhl, McNeil, Barry.

Subs: Travers, King, Beto, Grealish, Aznou, Graham, Welch, Campbell, Bates.
