Dwight McNeil's chance of being involved in Everton's clash with Chelsea at Goodison Park on Sunday has been rated as "touch-and-go".
McNeil missed last weekend's goalless draw at Arsenal with a knee injury and, speaking in Thursday's pre-match press conference, manager Sean Dyche has confirmed a late decision will be made on the fitness of the 25-year-old.
"Dwight is probably going to be touch-and-go," said Dyche. "He's got a niggly knee that we're being careful with, so we're hopeful but we'll have to wait and see."
James Garner (back) and Tim Iroegbunam (foot) remain sidelined for the Toffees, but both are continuing to make positives strides in their respective rehabilitations.
"Jimmy and Tim are still a bit behind the curve – they're making progress, though, so that's good," added Dyche. "But that's not going to be quick progress at this stage. They are on the grass and starting to take soft steps back towards fitness."
The Opponents
Chelsea head to Goodison Park knowing a win would see them climb to the top of the Premier League table.
But they will do so without Marc Cucurella, who serves a one-match suspension, while Reece James, Wesley Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, Mykhailo Mudryk and Omari Kellyman will not be available and Romeo Lavia is a doubt with a thigh issue.
