Wednesday’s Daily Express reports Everton have “opened talks” with Napoli over a move for midfielder Allan.

The paper suggests the 29-year-old Brazil international, who played under Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti during his time in charge at the Serie A club, is valued at around £33million.

Paris Saint-Germain and Atletico Madrid are also reported to be interested in signing Allan.

Another Napoli player is rumoured to be on Everton’s radar in Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The publication reckons the Blues would like to bring Mexican winger Hirving Lozano to Goodison Park. The 24-year-old has won 39 caps for his country and scored 10 goals.

The Liverpool Echo, meanwhile, reports Everton have received a major fitness boost ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Liverpool at Goodison Park (7pm).

Having missed the Blues' intra-squad game at Goodison Park on Saturday with a minor knock, midfielder Andre Gomes is expected to be available for the 236th Merseyside derby.

Speaking in an interview originally given to evertonfc.com, Everton manager Ancelotti said Yerry Mina and Fabian Delph are also making good progress as they recover from muscle injuries.

“Andre Gomes is training with the team so he is not going to have a problem for Sunday,” said the Italian.

“The physical condition of the team in general is good and we are looking to recover Yerry Mina and Fabian Delph.

“They are both close to coming back to training but remain doubts for the game on Sunday. If they do not play, we hope they will be with us for the match at Norwich, for sure.”
