Record-Breaking Start For New Everton Home Kit

Everton’s new home kit for the 2019/20 season has received record-breaking first-week pre-order sales.

The latest Umbro strip has proven popular with supporters, with figures for the opening week of pre-order sales outstripping pre-order numbers from all previous seasons - surpassing the previous best figures for the 2014/15 home strip by a remarkable 26.2 per cent with one week of the pre-order window remaining.

The kit boasts a bold design twist influenced by one of Goodison’s most iconic features, inspiring the ‘Built To Last’ theme for this year’s campaign.

The distinctive criss-crossed steelwork from the upper tier of the Bullens Road stand, the work of legendary stadium architect Archibald Leitch, has been used as the influence for a modern graphic that appears prominently on the chest of the royal blue home jersey.

The ‘Built To Last’ theme has also been highlighted in the shirtzine St. Domingo, a 52-page publication celebrating the key elements of Everton and Umbro’s proud history which helped to shape the modern design of this season’s home kit.

Featuring exclusive interviews with Richarlison, Tom Davies and Seamus Coleman, the shirtzine is a first for a football club to mark the launch of a new strip. A digital version of the home edition can be viewed here.

The 2019/20 home strip was made available to pre-order last Thursday at evertondirect.com or by visiting Everton One or Everton Two stores. The kit will be on sale in stores and online from Thursday 18 July.
