Garner Earns England Call-Up

James Garner has been called up by England for the Three Lions’ forthcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures.

The Everton midfielder – named the Blues’ 2025/26 Player of the Season and Players’ Player of the Season – gets the nod following the withdrawal of five players from Thomas Tuchel’s squad: Tino Livramento, Kobbie Mainoo, Cole Palmer, Marcus Rashford and Declan Rice.

Garner, who won his first two England caps in March 2026, will link up with Toffees teammates Jordan Pickford and Jarrad Branthwaite when the selected players report to St George’s Park on Tuesday.

England host Spain at Wembley Stadium this Saturday 26 September (7.45pm BST). The Three Lions then face Czechia in Prague on Tuesday 29 September (7.45pm) and Croatia in Rijeka on Saturday 3 October (5pm) before returning to Wembley to replay the Czechs on Tuesday 6 October (7.45pm) in UEFA Nations League Group A3.
