A delighted Thierno Barry says he is targeting a continuation of his stunning goalscoring form after netting a brace against Coventry City on Friday night.
The Blues came from behind to beat Frank Lampard’s Sky Blues at Hill Dickinson Stadium – with Barry netting Everton’s first and second of the game, before Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall added a third courtesy of the Frenchman's assist.
For Barry, his contributions marked his ninth and 10th goals of the season across all competitions as the Toffees registered their third victory in the space of nine days, going fifth in the Premier League and reaching the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.
Speaking after the game, Barry said: “I’m very happy. When we came today, we wanted to win, and we won. And I scored two goals, so it’s good.
“I wanted to score today and I scored, so I’m just happy!
“I just try to do my best every time when I come into the games. I want to score every game.
“In the last game, I think I could’ve scored more, but today, I think I scored all my chances.
“It’s the job of the striker to score. I’m in good form at the moment. I want to stay like this and score lots of goals this season.”
