The passion and excitement that comes with being an Evertonian is hard to describe to people who aren't involved in it.

Growing up, following on from my dad, who is also an Evertonian, and going to the match with him and my brother, there was just no better feeling – in good times, and in the tough times.

The energy you feel around the ground on a matchday has always been unbelievable.

There are too many moments to pick out one all-time favourite of following Everton. One that springs to mind is when we went to Nürnberg, in what was then the UEFA Cup, and the atmosphere in the city, which was packed with thousands and thousands of Evertonians, was incredible. I'd just had my tonsils taken out a few days before and I had to check myself out of hospital to make my flight! I had stitches in my throat and I was told I couldn't sing, but I remember I was on top of a bus stop in amongst it all and I couldn't help myself! My stitches burst – but it was one of the best times I've ever had. The euphoria of being with all of those Evertonians in Europe just took over.

Now I've got a daughter and a nephew, and being able to take them to Hill Dickinson Stadium is another level of excitement again. I get goosebumps every time I come through the turnstiles and hear Z Cars, getting to experience that with them is something extremely special. There's no better feeling.

The new stadium really is unique. For it to be placed on the famous River Mersey, on the skyline of the city, is very special.

I'm a bus driver for my job and you wouldn't believe the amount of tourists that get on the bus that I direct to the new stadium. I love it. I tell them, 'Get down to Hill Dickinson to see a proper stadium!', because it really is an incredible place.
