Everton’s Cup Clash With Wolves Rescheduled

Everton’s Carabao Cup third-round tie with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Hill Dickinson Stadium has been rescheduled for Wednesday 16 September (7.45pm kick-off).

The Club had initially proposed for the fixture – previously confirmed for Wednesday 9 September – to take place on Wednesday 16 September, but Carabao Cup broadcast selections resulted in the match being scheduled a week earlier.

Following Liverpool’s recent UEFA Champions League draw against Atletico Madrid at Anfield on September 9, Everton v Wolves will now take place on Wednesday 16 September.

The match will be broadcast live on Sky Sports +.

The Toffees beat Championship side Preston North End 4-0 to advance to round three of the competition courtesy of Thierno Barry's hat-trick and Brennan Johnson's first goal for the Club.

Wolves advanced the previous evening with a 2-0 win away at League One side Sheffield Wednesday, their goals coming from Saheed Olagunju and a Sil Swinkels own goal.
