Supporter Travel Update: Everton v Coventry

Everton and Merseyrail are providing supporters with an early update on travel arrangements ahead of the Premier League fixture against Coventry City at Hill Dickinson Stadium, which will now take place on Friday 6 November, kick-off 8pm (GMT).

The fixture will take place while significant, pre-planned and essential engineering works are still under way across parts of the local rail network, with those works due to conclude over the course of that weekend. As a result, normal matchday travel arrangements are expected to be affected.

Merseyrail has been working closely with Everton, Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and other transport partners for a number of months to plan for the works and minimise disruption to supporters and other passengers.

The move of the Coventry fixture into this period means supporters attending the game should expect changes to the usual public transport options available for travel to and from Hill Dickinson Stadium.

Detailed travel advice is currently being developed, including information on rail services, replacement transport where applicable and alternative ways of travelling to and from the stadium.

Supporters do not need to make any changes to their travel plans at this stage. Detailed information will be provided well in advance of the fixture as arrangements are confirmed.

With the match taking place on a Friday evening, supporters will also be encouraged to allow additional time for their journey and to check the latest travel information before setting off.

Everton and Merseyrail recognise the importance of providing supporters with clear and timely information and will continue to work together, alongside the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and other transport partners, to support safe and effective travel to and from the fixture.
