Everton Team News For Sunderland Trip

David Moyes is hopeful there will be no fresh injury concerns to contend with ahead of Everton's clash with Sunderland.

The Blues take on the Black Cats on Monday night (8pm GMT kick-off) in their first trip to the Stadium of Light since September 2016.

Jarrad Branthwaite (hamstring) and Nathan Patterson (foot and hernia) both remain unavailable for Everton.

Speaking in Friday's pre-match press conference at Finch Farm, Moyes said: "[Patterson] has had a small procedure on his groin so he's obviously not available for this game.

"We've got a couple of knocks and bruises and one or two people with a couple of little bits but hopefully we'll be okay."

The Opposition

Sunderland boss Régis Le Bris will be without club-record signing Habib Diarra and Romaine Mundle for the visit of Everton.

Leo Hjelde and Dennis Cirkin are also doubts, but Aji Alese is expected to return after concussion.
