A buoyant Jack Grealish expressed his joy at working under David Moyes whilst playing in front of the deafening Evertonians.

The winger netted the winner at the Vitality Stadium, earning the travelling Toffees a sweet victory against the inferior Cherries. After his strike nestled in to the bottom corner, the 30-year-old wheeled away in passionate celebration, getting right amongst the jubilation whilst kissing the Everton badge.

“It is a brilliant team and I love the manager to pieces,” Grealish said post-match. “I have only known him a few months and I can’t speak highly enough of him as a person. How he makes me feel, how he makes me want to play for him – credit to him. We are doing well.

“I am so lucky that I have had such great clubs and great fanbases, this is another one of them. They have been so good to me today. They were singing my name before the goal, I feel like they wanted a bit more from me and I gave it to them!”

The midweek win on the south coast is Moyes’ men’s third from their last four games – a run which has seen them keep a trio of clean sheets in the process.

After suffering defeat to Newcastle United on home soil on Saturday afternoon, the Toffees swiftly put things right at a venue that has previously haunted them.

Grealish continued: “I feel like every time I come here, no matter what team and manager, it is always so hard. It was nice! It was a difficult game against a really good side that are very aggressive on the front foot. To get the win here is brilliant.

“I feel like the first-half it was an even game. We had good bits of play but we didn’t really get our foot on the ball much and then in the second-half, we got the goal and defended after that. It was difficult and a good win in the end.”

Attention now turns to the visit of Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon (3pm GMT), with the Englishman already focused on the next challengers to make the journey to Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The goalscorer added: “We have won three out of the last four, we are doing really well at the moment. We have another tough game on Saturday. We are just taking each game as it comes. We want to get as high in the table as possible, we are three points off the top four now.”
