Midfielder Melvin Matos says his energy, tenacity and ability to break up play are his best attributes, and growing up, he enjoyed watching N’Golo Kante and Claude Makelele.

From Bedford, he joined Everton in 2024 and in his first season, made 15 league appearances for the Under-18s, netting his first goal in April 2025 during a 1-1 draw against Blackburn Rovers.

Melvin signed his first professional contract with Everton in the summer of 2026.

Contracted until: June 2028
