BIO

Young midfielder and Wales youth international Gardner joined Everton aged six. Originally from Huddersfield, he identifies passing as his best attribute.

Ahead of the 2024/25 season, he became a first-year scholar with Everton Under-18s, having previously made nine appearances for Leighton Baines's side during 2023/24.

Involved in 21 league games for Everton Under-18s throughout 2024/25, Gardner operated in midfield, as well as right-back and centre-back.

In the same season, he captained Wales Under-17s in three qualifiers for the Under-17 European Championships, playing the full 90 minutes against Norway, Italy and San Marino.

He signed his first professional contract in January 2026, penning a deal until June 2028.

Contracted until: June 2028
