Everton Drawn Away To Preston In Carabao Cup

Everton have been drawn away to Preston North End in the second round of the Carabao Cup.

The Blues will take on the Championship side, who manager David Moyes previously played for and later managed, at Deepdale on the week commencing Monday 24 August.

The fixture date, kick-off time and ticket details will be confirmed on Everton Club channels in due course.

Everton were ball number eight in Monday evening's Northern Section draw and were paired with the Lilywhites, who are managed by Paul Heckingbottom.

Preston progressed to the second round of this season's Carabao Cup with a penalty shootout win over Huddersfield Town after a 1-1 draw in a tie played at Goodison Park – the Blues' iconic stadium – due to extensive pitch maintenance at Deepdale.
