Jack Patterson is the latest youngster to sign a new contract with Everton, penning a two-year deal that will keep him with the Club until the end of June 2027.

Northern Irish youth international Patterson joined the Blues in the summer of 2022 from Irish Premiership side Crusaders, where he had become their youngest-ever player.

Beginning his Everton career with the Under-18s and making 14 appearances in his debut season, Patterson gradually made the step up to the Under-21s, appearing in the EFL Trophy and Premier League 2 in his second campaign at Everton before making 25 appearances in all competitions for Paul Tait’s side last term.

The 19-year-old from Ballyclare has five Northern Ireland Under-17 caps to his name and told evertonfc.com about his pride at signing for another two years with the Blues.

“I’m very glad I’ve been given the chance to sign a new deal,” said Patterson. “I’ve got another two years to try to prove myself to get another one.

“I just want to get better at football. If I get better, I’ll get the opportunity to move up and really push myself.

“I can’t wait for the new season. I think we’ve got a really good squad, especially with all the scholars who have moved up.

“I think we’ve got a real chance of pushing on and finishing near the top of the table.”

The Under-21s returned to training last week, with Patterson and his teammates already pushing themselves to be ready for the brand new Premier League 2 season.

"The first half-day was very tough," said Patterson. "We got put through our paces but there's nothing better than the feeling after a tough session, you feel better.

"It was tough – but we're all looking forward to the rest of it and getting it done so we're in the best shape for what's ahead."
