Barnsley Joins Marine On Loan

Everton Under-21s goalkeeper Fraser Barnsley has signed for Marine on a season-long loan for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign.

Barnsley – a Northern Ireland Under-21s international – joined Everton from Oxford United in September 2023 and has since enjoyed regular football for Paul Tait’s young Blues for the past two seasons, including nine Premier League 2 appearances and four Premier League Cup outings last term.

The 20-year-old shot-stopper was rewarded for his progress earlier this summer, signing a new two-year contract with the Toffees until June 2027, along with earning a place in the Men’s Senior Team squad for their pre-season fixture with Accrington Stanley in July.

He now links up with Crosby-based club Marine, who have picked up three wins from their opening five matches in National League North.
